What Christmas Means To Me
“A day of love, sharing, thanks-giving and a day of forgiveness”; That’s what christmas means to me.
Christmas is celebrated once in ayear, every 25th of December. It’s a day of gathering every member of the family that leads to an occasion having exchanging of gifts and preparing special food. In ou family, part of celebrating christmas is going to church for the “simbang-gabi”, to complete nine-day mass. We try to fullfill attending the mass for what the ancestor said that wishes will come tre if we’re going to attend successively the nine-day mass. Christmas reming us that we must have to fix our conflicts with other people. “Forgiving”, to start living life without troubles and “thanks-giving” for showing love and sharing the things we have.
Some people say that December 25th is not a day of Jesus’ birth. They even put us down for what our beliefs are. For me, being a Christian, celebrating christmas avery December 25th does not mean that it’s really his birthdate but it’s a sign that says Jesus Christ exist in this world.

A Change
Living in this world have lots of consequences and trials. Each one of us finds a way to fix problems and have success in life. That’s why everybody needs a change.
All of us have to change for the sake of our future. First thing I have to change is my personality. I have so many things I want to change in my life. One is that my bad attitude such as saying bad words and being lazy in school. I can’t refrain from saying bad words every time I have problems. It already serves as my expression and I know that it is not good saying those words. Being lazy in school is also one of my problems that I have to fix in my life. This affects my studies and causes failing of grades.
Nowadays, our society faces different problems so there’s a need to find a way to fix those problems. A society needs to have a good leader and a good follower, but most of them do not function well. One should be responsible. I want to change the way our society runs in such a way that our lives will be productive. There’s no specific way but everyone must cooperate.
There are things I want to change in our nature. One is that the way our president rules this country. I don’t like the way he runs the Philippines and I want to change it the way I like. Another thing I want to change is our expenses. It’s getting high that we are now suffering economic crises.
We are living through this world with lots of unexplainable things. And for that, I only want to change world’s outgrowing population because it is the root of all problems. If I have a chance, I would fulfill a law that will lessen the population.
Everybody loves to live life having no problems, that’s why we are trying to live life better. We are striving to change the things we have mistakenly done and seeking for the right way. The only thing that has to be put in our mind is “self-discipline” in order for us to have successful change.

Reaction Paper: Deconstruction of “Thank you, Ma’am”
Have you ever tried to steal someone’s wallets just because you need money to buy things you wanted? Well, in that case, it’s hard to refrain doing devilish thins especially when you are eager to have that but has insufficient money.
In reading the story “Thank you, Ma’am”, comparing to the deconstruction, there are lots of situations that contradicts one another. One contradiction when Mrs. Jones took the boy home after he tried to snatch her purse. In the real world, it is impossible for those victims of snatching to bring home the snatchers and treat good manners. Supposed to be, Mrs. Jones must influence the boy not to show that there is always someone for us to depend on. Another is that teaching the boy wrong from right. It’s not good for Roger to be disciplined in a solid way or even punished him of what he has done. He’s still at the minor age and can be a good person by teaching him in a slow manner.
I like reading the story because it gives a moral lesson that digs up my heart. It shows not to judge people with their outside personality. The most part I like best is that when Mrs. Jones gives a chance to know the boy better and be able to know Roger’s purpose of snatching the purse.
The story is quite complicated. Lots of lessons can be learned from it. And in relation to that story, still, stealing is not a proper way of sustaining our needs. And if you’re going to ask me whether I like the story and even it’s deconstruction, or not, well, I would say that both has a lesson-catching contact.

Our Values Today
What are values? Values are traits or characteristics which individuals are supposed to be inherited. These are the good attitudes that enable us to live in this world happily. Values are somewhat kind of feeling that makes us important, appreciate and value. But, how can we say that value of today is the same as the values before? What are the things you consider in life that you value most?
Our values today is more critical than that of before because nowadays, many devices are discovered and if we compare people before, they value more about their family. But since they have technology such as computers, they spent a lot of time on it and value it more. Another situation is in our society/surroundings. Before, people give importance on our natural resources, but there are really people who are so naughty that nowadays, they abuse it more.
For now, we can see that the values of today is not as good as before. Even though it’s not as good as before, we can still stand for good and new values by first being disciplined, respectful and trustworthy.

My Teacher, My Hero
Can you ever think of a question that finds very hard to answer? “What is a hero?” is a question that bothers my mind as well as myself. Another unexplainable statement is that “Teachers are the best!” Why?
As our generation goes on, there are still people who sacrifice their lives just to share their knowledgeable ideas. They are the ones who help us learn academic lessons. aside from that, they also teach us good manners that we even apply to our daily lives. Teachers are somewhat like heroes because they do have the same similarities as what heroes have. Aside from going to school everyday, they make individual's report cards for the students to know their status of intelligence. Teachers can either be a friend or a best friend. I can say that because every time I have problems, one of the teachers in school, Ms. Calubag is always there to comfort me. She shares her experiences before and gives helpful advice that touches my heart and realized that as a student, I must have to prioritize first my studies. And that awakens my self!
Being a teacher, it's never been easy to handle thirty above different students every hour. It's a hard-working job that sacrifices teacher's lives for the sake of others. Without them, we can't be educated and is therefore a stupid person. We should have recognize what they are doing because for me, they are the most important group of educators and that leads me to say that "My Teacher is My Hero".
